Visiting us?

Parking

Guests can use any downtown parking space or there are two large municipal lots within a block of The Treasury.  Both are located off of 3rd Street - one North of Walworth Avenue, one South of Walworth Avenue. Municipal lots allow for overnight parking, if needed - although park at own risk obviously. Check signs on downtown parking for regulations in downtown business district - some have hourly restrictions and no parking from 3-6 AM.

Accessibility

Our ADA accessible ramp is on the side of the building off of 3rd Street.  There are designated handicap parking spaces downtown in front of the building on Walworth Avenue and in the municipal lots.

Lost & Found

Event hosts are required to load out decor and items upon event completion.  Please check with hosts to see if your items may have been grabbed or reach out to us directly to inquire.

Transportation

Visit our preferred vendor list under "pricing" tab if interested in lining up a shuttle, limo, or car service.  Some local resorts and hotels provide complimentary shuttles (if available) for guests including Lake Lawn Resort, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Lake Geneva, and The Ridge Hotel to name a few (check with each to confirm availability on your given date).  Lake Lawn does allow the shuttle to be rented to guarantee availability.

We highly recommend Lakes Area Limousine, Lake Geneva Party Bus Co, and Jones for transportation options to & from our venue and for any guests needing airport transportation. Visit our preferred vendor document for links & contact information of each.  There are also Uber drivers in the vicinity, however, in the chance no drivers are available at time of departure, it is always good to line up an advance option if planning on that.

HISTORY

The Treasury was once known as the Wisconsin State Bank and has been home to a variety of businesses over the years aside from a financial institution.  The building, located in downtown Delavan, Wisconsin, is recognized nationally as a historic landmark and was built as a bank in 1909.

Many ornate details & materials from the original construction remain today and this building is truly a gem.  The exterior is composed of rich, copper-red brick and limestone with soaring, almost floor to ceiling arched windows and even a vintage burglary alarm box.

Built on the southwest corner of the block, the grand main level ballroom boasts fantastic natural light, an antique bank vault (one of four in building), sixteen foot ceilings lined with original large wooden beams & other materials from the initial 1909 construction including beautiful green and white marble along the lower walls, true to its era.

DOWNTOWN DELAVAN CHARM

The bank is perched on the corner of a red brick street lined with antique green rod-iron street lanterns and has beautiful street appeal, along with many beautiful photo backdrops within walking distance.  The entire block is recognized by the national registry of historical landmarks and has a rich, interesting history dating back to the age of glaciers carving out the region, early Potawotomi Indian and pioneer settlements, and even home to the P.T. Barnum Circus "The Greatest Show on Earth" founded here in 1871.

THE AREA

The bank is conveniently located near major highways & interstates for easy travel and situated directly in the heart of downtown with close proximity to beautiful parks, lakes, landmarks, churches, hotel accommodations, and more.  There is ample free street parking near entrances and free municipal lots on the same block, which can easily accommodate our anticipated capacitys.  The downtown is lined with quaint shops, restaurants, other historic landmarks, beautiful scenery, and attractions to visit while you're here too!  There are also many hotel accommodations in close proximity to our space, some even walking distance!

Delavan is just outside of Lake Geneva and also a fairly reasonable commute to Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago, Janesville, Whitewater, Kenosha, and other major regional cities and regional and international airports nearby.

How "The Treasury" idea came to life

It all began a week before their own wedding in 2016.  Jillian saw a bank for sale that reminded her of a commercial shoot she had worked on when living in Nashville.  Knowing that a photography studio wouldn't be a great business plan for southern Wisconsin, immediately it clicked that it would be an amazing space for not only photos, but also events & weddings.  After doing a little research they realized they could make it a reality and the rest is history.  With Jillian's background in photo, film, tv, & events along with her husband's background in building they knew it would be amazing.  Each detail has been planned with not only the event functionality in mind, but also how the space will capture light & photograph.

Thank you for following our renovation and supporting our new business that is so dear to our hearts.
